What is coaching?

Coaching is a creative way to generate lasting change in your life.  Coaching can inspire you to find your true potential, to discover your passion and live your dreams.  Coaching speaks to the whole of you- including your soul.forest painting

Coaching sees you as the expert in your life, believing everyone is creative, resourceful and whole. With you the coach will:

  • Discover and clarify what you want to achieve
  • Encourage self-discovery
  • Generate solutions
  • Provide support for follow up actions

Coaching will improve your outlook on life, strengthen your connection to yourself and others, and unlock your creative potential. Coaching can be face to face, by phone or by skype.   

The difference between coaching and counselling/therapy is that coaching is future focused, considers who you are, who you want to be and works with you to create the life you’ve always wanted to live.  Alternatively counselling/therapy tends to address issues of the past such as family of origin issues, conflict, abuse, addiction etc -issues that cause pain and hamper emotional functioning.  Coaching and counselling/ therapy are also similar as they use many of the same skills: listening; understanding; problem solving; respect; confidentiality etc.
